At ST STRATEGO we have consolidated experience in the management and obtaining of the Sectoral Promotion Program (PROSEC), authorized by the Ministry of Economy, which allows companies producing certain goods to import various goods with a preferential tariff rate – or exemption, as the case may be – for their incorporation into specific production processes, provided that they are intended for the production of the products indicated in the corresponding decree. We have accompanied companies from different industrial sectors both in obtaining this program and in maintaining it over time.

Obtaining PROSEC authorization requires proving to the authority compliance with technical and operational requirements, as well as the correct tariff classification of the goods to be imported within the specific sectors and fractions contemplated by the decree. However, the initial authorization is only the first step: the correct use of the program requires maintaining an operation consistent with the authorized sector and products, since any deviation may lead to observations by the authority or the loss of the tariff benefits obtained.

For this reason, at ST STRATEGO we accompany our clients on two complementary fronts: on the one hand, in the process of obtaining the PROSEC authorization, from the feasibility analysis and the correct tariff classification of the goods, to the integration of the file and the attention to the requirements of the Ministry of Economy during its evaluation; and on the other hand, in the maintenance of the program, through the implementation of preventive audits and compliance programs that ensure the continuity and correct use of the tariff benefits obtained.
